My partner in crime

You are my song

My rhythm & rhyme

 

You are my joy

In every smile

I cherish our time
I love your style

 

Every day

More than twice

You make me laugh

You add the spice

 

That jazzes up

My daily grind

The love I thought

I’d  never find

 

So here’s to you

My special friend

I hope our journey

Will never end

To wake each day and see your smile

I know our love is true

Another day in paradise

So what’s a girl to do

 

Valentine’s Day comes once a year

I know I couldn’t wait

To share the joy we have each day

On such commercial fate

 

For every day with you my love

Is greater than before

For some it’s love on demand

To some it’s keeping score

 

I much prefer the flowers

You said were “just because”

Instead of “guilted tokens”

As every “good man” does

 

In poem & song I once again

Attest to how I care

For what we have runs deeper

A love that’s truly rare

 

And every day’s a holiday

A friendship that’s caught fire

So here’s to one more evening

Of passion & desire
